march the 25th

it's the birthday today. i have officially hit th 25 year old mark. jessica sent me a birthday email (thank you :) and mentioned how we've been finished with high school for nearly 7 years. crap, that's quite awhile....relatively speaking of course.

i'm treating myself to a nice glass (or more...i'm not sharing the bottle with anyone) of bordeaux. (if you are interested beth, malesan 2002 , it was on my desk)

tonight i'm heading to Cubana (http://www.cubana.co.uk) i hear they have live salsa music on friday nights. some friends are going out for dinner and a few drinks. i've already checked the menu and there are number of cocktails i'm interested in trying.

my guests have left. it was very nice to have them here and i'm sad to see beth go. she reminded me of all the good times in minneapolis and it was great to have her here in london.

i'm doing a little sing-along with fiona apple. perfect for the before bedtime atmosphere.

what have i been up to? well, not fixing the weirdness going on with my blog. i'm not sure why all that stuff is at the bottom instead of up on top, and why does it say that i've only written 15 posts. i know i've written more. maybe it is time for an update of sorts. we'll see.

the old dispensary is going well. nice bar. i've worked two official shifts now and will be getting paid soon!! hells yeah.

i dusted my room tonight.

tomorrow i'm heading to the london book fair and then to see the new bruce willis film 'hostage'. it looks really good and i'll be viewing it at the lovely vue cinema in islington. that cinema is so comfy! did anyone else check out the msn gossip about bruce willis and lindsey lohan? dude. there is absolutely no need for that. bruce, demi, lindsey, and ashton. crazy, crazy world. then again....age doesn't mean a thing, right? or does it? what do you think? i don't think it really does, but then sometimes i wonder, wonder, wonder. it's the age of your wisdom and your heart that matters.

right.

a mitten for you

well....i have guests. i have guests. beth and amy are here. they are doing loads of fun stuff. for instance, right now they are sewing up my mittens!! this is definately what i needed as i've been walking around with one giant hole in my mitten. now they have eyes too!!

i was looking at other blogs today (in my free time of course). my blog has nothing of substance, but i think that is appropriate considering who is writing it.

included in this posts are a couple of pictures for you. the other friday i went and hung out with a couple of carisa's classmates. they had a photography class and needed some pictures and somehow i was volunteered and accepted the duty. so anyway, here are a couple of the shots. i was cold, very cold. i look like a clown, but it is kind of cool. i think anyway.

okay, well then. that is the end of that. tomorrow i have my internship during the day again (so long and boring and i need to quit it very, very soon in order to work because i'm amazed at how little money i have) and then that evening we are going to the islington academy...to see milkyboo. really, really cheap night!! and lots of good people going to be there. should be fun.

story explanation

hey all--

okay, so i didn't really end that last post too well. i really can't do more than one thing at once. in fact, i'm having trouble listening to music now and typing too.

so, my friend carisa is working on a dress for a school project, i think it's kind of like her final project thing and she asked my if i'd be the one to wear it. i'm really excited about wearing it. it'll be a flamenco (sp?) style type dress. black with pink or red (she hasn't decided yet) frills on the bottom. and there are are going to be sleeves, but detached-like. i'm not really excited about the bit that will have me walking in front of people in it. yes, folks, i will have to walk down a runway of some sorts......oh, god. i bet you can all just see that, huh?

monday night i went to a concert....spoon. it was down at the garage and i went with my friend lindsey. the first band that opened, love is laughter (i think that was their name) was okay....then we were heading down to stand up next to the stage and i was, like, hmmm, this music has a familiar quality to it....and this place looks like triple rock, and yes, yes, that's prince....not actually standing there or anything, which would have been more than fucking cool, but it was the music. and then the band came out and.....damn. i looooooovvvveeee live music and especially when the band is good. so very good. and it was cool.

tomorrow is picture day for the project. i'm not so excited about that anymore, i think our pictures may be a bit crap, but we shall see how it goes.

tonight i had a trial shift at a bar in camberwell called the old dispensary.....nice atmosphere and all and i really enjoy it. wasn't very busy, so craig (mgr) is having me do another trial next thursday.
