There are all sorts of raindrops.

On tonight's menu? Big fat raindrops.

The kind that land in your eye and hurt. And I'm a nerd that wears glasses while cycling and warmer weather (yeah for that though!) and big fat raindrops that hurt are a bad combination for nerds that wear glasses while cycling. I couldn't see a darn thing out of those wet, foggy glasses!

I'm tiring a bit of this whole rain while cycling thing again.

The rain better lead to good stuff soon. Good stuff like green, green grass. And buds on the trees. And pretty flowers.

Yeah, I want some of those pretty flowers. Or else Miss mother nature!
(totally an empty threat, but what's one to do?)

Four years on.

We celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary this week. The years are going by faster and faster. Also, totally think we are looking older and older. Does this just mean we are officially grown-up? It's a good thing, right?

We enjoyed some Nose-to-Tail eating as they call it over at St. John. Well, mainly Toby tried some of that. He had a bone marrow and parsley salad for starters. I'm so, so proud of him for trying something new. It's not just new, but it's pretty out there for us. They brought out 4 bones, some toast and the salad, along with a little fork thing, which I kinda wanted to steal. You push out the marrow and spread it along the toast like pate. Then you put some wet salt and the parsley salad on it and eat. I tried a bit too. It's different. I'm really pleased we gave it a go. Also had some Turbot (Tobes main of choice) and Braised Rabbit (me! rabbit is totally tasty).

I think we are a pretty cool couple. Happy Anniversary to us!

Happy Birthday Tobes!

Toby's birthday was last week. The 3rd to be exact. Well, his 27th that is. His birthday was on the 3rd of February!



It was a sunny day that started with a little Birthday Beatles music and a bit of cake before work. To be fair, I should say that it was me that sneaked a little chocolate frosting. He was good and saved his piece of cake for work. Though he managed to eat something like 4 slices, so I'm not sure if that equals good.

He's looking more grown-up every year. Extra handsome I'd say. Happy Birthday Tobes!
