Ready for the Major League

Last time we visited the States, we headed down to Beloit to see the Snappers. They are a minor-league team and gave Toby a taste for baseball. This time about, I wanted to show him the big league.

The Brewers had a game against the Phillies and though I knew we didn't stand too much a chance of winning, it was going to be a good time.

First up was a lot of tailgating. You know, beer, brats, beer, cheese, more beer...all in the parking lot. Tough to explain that this is actually a very important part of the baseball game experience. But I swear, it is!

Then inside Miller Park. This was my first time inside the stadium since it was rebuilt in 2001. You could say it has been awhile.

We were treated to a few home runs by the Brewers before they lost to the Phillies 10-6.

home run!!!

No matter. We made some memories with good friends and my streak of never seeing the Brewers win in Milwaukee continues.
