Colorful Kew

It's been a little while since I last put up a post. I'll write about that time later. I think I need more time to reflect. And maybe it is too soon to reflect.

It was and is a very sad time. The summer of visits out to Bovingdon, of garden veggies, and of drives in the car listening to the radio are over.

Now we have the fall and the chilly nights (man does our flat get cold!!), cycling in the rain and dinners where we don't want to leave the warm kitchen.

You know what might be lovely to see? Something cheery and colorful. Got just the thing...photographs from Kew Gardens! When my mom came to visit (when was that again? end of Aug/beginning of September?), we took a boat down the Thames and wandered around Kew. The place is massive. Kew needs mutiple visits throughout the year. Loved what we did see though. I'll try not to go overboard here. If you want to see the full set....they are on flickr.

I've wanted to see Kew Gardens since I read Virginia Woolf's story of the same title years ago. Your glimpses are exactly what I expected from reading Woolf. Thanks, Abby, for posting!

I fully agree that Kew deserves repeat visits -- I hope to see it again soon, but in a different season. Lovely photos, and nice to have you back posting again!
